Da vinci, I mean. Like 1/2 hour ago...
Good movie, I like a lot: quite messy at the end, but they were more
loyal than they are with the average HP movie.
You know, I am catholic, lightly conservative about certain stuff, and I
didn't find myself offended in any way: all the opposite; the movie
clearly says that it doesn't matter what Jesus is, but what he said and
what he means to People. Actually, those defenders of the 'theory in
question', are portrayed as nuts.

If I don't respond to this drusilla post, the terrorists win.

I LOL in the face of those getting their panties in a twist over Da
Vinci. These are the same type kneejerk asshats that saved "The Last
Temptation of Christ" from the arthouse oblivion it deserved.

You'd think that people would have figured out by now that the more they
crusade against a book, TV show, or movie, the more they stimulate interest
in said book, TV show, or movie. See "Married...With Children" at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Married_With_Children#The_Rakol ta_Boycott as a
perfect example of what I mean.

I agree. All the boycott stuff tends to backfire. But, my former
employer Campus Crusade for Christ is taking a different slant on DVC.
They are trying to use it as a way to start discussions on things like
the reliability of the Bible. Here is a web site:
http://www.pcgmedia.org/davincianswers.html
I think it is a better approach than just condemning it. Start a
dialog instead. Obviously the same approach would work with the HP
stuff. Read it and discuss it rather than try to ban it without even
reading it. Of course there are limits. Should we watch all the
different kinds of pornography so we can intelligently discuss it?
Probably not, due to the potential damage to ourselves.
